I now have a connection to my previous post on Paul Smith's little Paris Shop. That connection is the work of
James Plumb Artist Assembler Designers. Their latest work is the Hostem Shop in Shoreditch. As a space it is wonderfully far away from the bright and plastic sheen of the modern high street. From the fotos it has a installation Victorian edge. In fact, that is the style name I'm giving it Installation Victorian, mixed with a bit of dirty found object. You can see the design connection to the Tourrette shop both are old and a little bit dusty.
James Plumb are also the designers of the Mint interiors shop in London.
Mint have a great collection of unusual design pieces on offer. Have a look at the product section on their site.
It made me smile.
The fotos are from the Wallpaper site, always worth a look.
Let me know what you think.
